Viewing counter output (pulse train) in oscilloscope

Hi,

I am relatively new to labview. I am trying to visualize the pulse trains generated by counters. Specifically, I am using labview2010 and NI-6608 ctr0 to generate a 10Hz pulse train with duty cycle of 0.5. I connected ctr0 OUT terminal of the 6608 card to the signal wire of a BNC cable and one of the D GND output of 6608 to the ground of the BNC cable. The BNC cable was connected to Tektronix digital oscilloscope. I expected to see a nice pulse train of 0-5V at 10Hz in the oscilloscope. But I did not see any pulses. The vi I used is attached. I must be doing something wrong. Do I need to convert the counter pulse output into an analog out signal first? Can anyone help me how to visualize the counter outputs in an oscilloscope?

Thanks

Ani

Hi,

Please disregard my previous posting. I found out that the vi I had attached in my previous posting actually works. The reason it did not work was I was using the wrong pins in the SCB-68 box to which the 6608 card was connected to. The reason why I had the used the wrong pins was that the pinout printed on the outside of SCB-68 box needs to be changed depending on what device it is connected to. I found this information in the SCB-68 manual. Now everything works.

Thanks

Ani
