DDE output configuration

I am trying to setup my dde output in an excel tab using a string variable.  My end goal is to setup this worksheet to run on runtime versions and full versions were people are not that well versed in dasylab.  I need to change the excel sheet it exports to daily.  The tabs will be the same but the file name will change and needs to be user defined.

Have you tried to use the DASYLab string notation in the corresponding field? ${STR_1} represents the content of the global string 1, etc?

The string notation works in many places, also in some where it is not available by a right click in the field.

The tab names will be static but the filename will change.  I tried to put it in but it did not work.
