Hello NI Zen masters,
I'm planning to use NI 9403 (32 channel DI/DO) module with a c-DAQ chassis to acquire data from a running engine; generator and a some related switchgear. The voltages around the measurement points are +/- 900 V DC and 440 V AC, 3 Ph. My worry is if accidently these high volatges get connected/coupled to the input of NI 9403, will that board head straight to mortuary? :-(!)
ARE THERE OPTOCOUPLERS AT THE FRONT END THOSE WILL PREVENT HIGH VOLTAGES FROM REACHING THE INNER CIRCUITARY OF THESE MODULES. IF YES, roughly what amount of high volatge isolation can I expect?

The instrument is designed for 5V TTL signals only!
About the safety voltages,
Back to your original question, there are no optoisolators and connecting anything beyond voltages specified in a datasheet will send the instrument and possible the cDAQ to the graveyard.
