USB-6509 programmable with Labview ?

Hello,

Can the Digital I/O Modul USB-6509 be programmed with Labview, that it will put a permanent clock signal of 1 MHz on one output line? Or does it require permanent clock-Data via USB+Laptop?

Thank You.

It can, of course be controlled by LabVIEW. The output rate you want is not obtainable. Have you looked at the specs? The digital I/O is software timed. Expect no more than 1kHz. Also don't understand what you mean by 'permanent'.

Thank you for answering my question. I looked at the specs, but I didn't find an output rate limitation. So software timed digital i/o is generally limited to ~ 1 kHz? Thanks for your help.

Software timed I/O is highly variable and dependent on the pc, os, and your code. The 1kHz maximum is based on some benchmarks that have been published here.

Ok thanks. I now take the NI USB-6281 with an analog output to generate the 1 MHz clock signal.

That card does have hardware timed digital I/O (10MHz) and an 80MHz counter.
