Please verify the following:

Use the 'Help-About' tab to check that

  • LabVIEW..... is version f5
  • NXT Module.. is version f3
  • MINDSTORMS Competition Toolkit... is version f1
  • Activate LabVIEW Components...Launch...

Confirm that solid green boxes are on the following three items:

  • Development System
    • Full Development System
    • LabVIEW for LEGO Mindstorms

If any one of these is a light (shaded) green then right click on it an 'activate'.

Then exit LabVIEW and restart your computer.

If any of the versions were not up to date, then you'll need to update.

In some cases an entire re-install is your best bet ....  check out these links to guide you:

Thanks for the advice,

We have checked and it appears everything is current.

I guess we will try reinstalling.

For what it's worth, we don't have the Samantha wifi module because we don't plan to go to any competitions until next year.

We are a rookie team and all adivce is grealy appreciated. I must admit we are struggling to get traction here.

Thanks

The Team

Go here to get an easy to print pdf with some very detailed installation instructions (page 3). Page 1-2 give you the guidance for getting 'Competition Ready with LabVIEW'. This is a 'printer friendly' version (slightly updated) of the posts I've been making regarding LV installs and such.

We'v had LabVIEW crash on us a few times, but usually things are just fine. I look forward to hearing from you.

Actually, I tried that and it still was crashing. I decided to plug in another keyboard and it works just fine now. Thanks for your help!
