log files missing user id

And to document what I found out today so it gets on the list.

Files generated in ~/Library/Logs have no user name as they are supposed to.  In there I have

LabVIEW.app_21.0b11__cur.log

LabVIEW.app_21.0b11__log.log

That long underscore is really 2 underscores and should have the user name in it.  I use the option to use my login name as my LabVIEW id.
