Among the NI tools, LabVIEW FPGA and IEEE-1588 can be used in Finance for a number of problems.  Certainly there are other areas such as LabVIEW for Windows ability to produce parallel

1. An FPGA based network card used to process and generate network traffic.

2. An FPGA or bank of FPGAs as coprocessors.  FPGAs can process certain algorithms up to 1000 times faster than CPUs.

3. An FPGA based network card with a IEEE-1588 card to timestamp incoming and outgoing data for latency measurements.

4. Peer to Peer with FlexRIO PXIe cards can be used to expand out for multi-FPGA solutions.
