It probably doesn't matter. If it does, it would relate to any other functions in this library that aren't attached such as something like a velocity calculation. Just be consistent in what your measurement units are. So if you use inches, use inches everywhere. It seems the subVIs work on ratios. So don't mix inches and feet. If there is a velocity function that you enter feet/second into, then you probably want to use feet in these subVIs
