The latest daq driver supporting LV 7.1 is DAQmx 8.9 which doesn't support Win7.
So there is no support for LV 7.1 with Win7 and there is no driver which supports LV 7.1 as well as Win7!

@Christian_M Is it some pages on the NI giving some information regarding Labview/drivers compabilety versus windows OS versions. I am sure I have ssen this some place

There is a NI-DAQ and LabVIEW Version Compatibility KB but there unfortunately you still have to look for each regarding the OS Support.

@krompacho Using a dual boot system. You can have both WIN7 and XP on the same computer. That may be the best work around for the problem. The link below is a how-to for installing XP on a WIN 7 computer.
