Can't find the fplv.hlp needed to build an application

I have a program built in labview 6.1 that has fieldpoint elements (FP Open.vi, FP Create Tag.vi, FP Write.vi, FP Close.vi). I want to build an application (.exe) from it. I have put all the subvi in the dynamic vi and my main program in the top level vi in the source files tab. When I try to build the application, an error 7 appears saying the source file fplv.hlp cannot be found. I try to find it on my hard drive but i only find fplv.chm and fplv.txt.  I have made complete installs both with my labview cd and the fieldpoint cd. I also searched on these cd's but didnt find them. If i rename the fplv.chm to .hlp, will it affect my program ?

Hi RenaudLD,

Thank you for posting to the National Instruments Discussion Forums.

The fplv.hlp file is an older file format for the FieldPoint help file. The newer FieldPoint driver uses the fplv.chm file instead (which is what you have on your system). There are many chm to hlp converters available online but I would not try that just yet.

What version of the FieldPoint driver do you have installed? I would suggest trying to re-install the FieldPoint driver and trying to re-create your executable at that point.

Hope this helps!
