DAQmx encoder example can read degrees, want pulses

Hello:
I'm  new to DAQmx and I'm using a LV8.0 example to read pulses from a quad encoder single ended and it is reading degrees just fine, how do I adjust the vi to measure steps from the motor?

Hi, i think you could just use the "count edges" mode with "externeal controled" direction.
