Error when trying to install LINX on Raspberry Pi model 4

Hi,

I am trying to install LabView LINX on my Raspberry Pi model 4.

My Pi is updated and everything sets up alright. I have used the LINX Target Configuration option in LabView and connected my Pi to my laptop using both ethernet and WiFi. I am using LabView 2020. I have tried using the IP address from both the ethernet connection, WiFi, and using the Pi's hostname. The error I received is shown in the image attached.

Troubleshooting methods:

This is everything I have tried so far:

1. I have pinged my Pi from my laptop. Everything is connected and there is no packet loss or connection issue.

2. SSH service is definitely enabled on my Pi.

3. I have triple-checked my Pi's IP address and port number, all is fine there.

4. There are no firewall issues, I have disabled the firewall for LabView.

5. I have downloaded the NI-VISA and NI-XNET drivers on my Pi

Not too sure what else I can do. I've followed all the steps and checked multiple websites. Not sure why I'm still getting an error.

WHat flavor of LV 2020 are you using?  LV 2020 Community Edition installs "Hobbyist" toolkit, which is an integrated version of LINX.  I don't know if the "Hobbysist" toolkit exists on its own, so I don't know if you can install it on a non-Community Edition version (nor do I know if you even WANT to do this on a non-Community Edition version).

I've swapped to LabView 2021 because I was using the professional version of LV 2020. I have the Hobbyist toolkit already there which is great. I now have a new problem. When I go to Tools > Hobbyist > Target Configuration, for some reason, it opens like this (see image). No clue why this is happening, I'm just considering deleting and reinstalling everything.

It sounds like you might have a mixture of Hobbyist and LINX Vis (which are most likely identical but in different locations - since LINX is 3rd party, it is in user, lib, but since Hobbyist is integrated, it is in vi.lib, and that VI shown might be confused about dependencies).
