Why do you need to duplicate those controls instead of using just one set of "Start time"/"Duration"?

Hi FCance,

Based on my understanding of your problem, I am attaching a VI to give you some ideas. You may want to modify this based on your needs as right now it is not really doing much with the event structure in the other case.
