Field Point tool pallet missing

Solved!
Go to solution

I am running LabView 2011 on a XP PC connected to a cFP-1808, I have installed the Field Point drivers 6.0.9. When installing the drivers it said they were already installed. I can see the cFP-1808 in MAX. When I pull up the Start: Programs: National Instruments, field point does not show up. I cannot find any Field Point tool pallet. Now it has been a long time since I worked with field point and have a setup running now on LabView 7.1. Should Field Point show up in the tool pallet or is there a way that I can get this to work with 2011?

Thanks

Gerald

There should have been a Field Point folder in the Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments directory. You could also check C:/Program Files/National Instruments/FieldPoint.

Does the Field Point driver show up in MAX? (It should appear like picture I attached illustrates)

If installed correctly you should see the Field Point VI's on the functions pallet as a sub pallet of the Measurement I/O pallet.

From here it may be best to upgrade to the 6.0.10 Field Point driver. It should install itself over the 6.0.9 driver

You can find 6.0.10 here.

I have downloaded 6.0.10 and installing it now. It is taking forever to install. I will let you know on Monday what the outcome is.

Thank you

Gerald

Hey Gerald, was the 6.0.10 install successful? Does the Field Point pallet show up now?

Yes!  Updating to Fieldpoint 6.0.10 did the trick. I just tried it out and it works like a charm. Thank you for the help.
