I don't think MAX comes with LabVIEW, but definately with DAQmx.

I have Labview 2014. Even after installing from the link, it still doesn't show on Measure & automation explorer

Now you can r-click Devices and interfaces ==> "create new" ==> "Simulated device" ==> USB ==> USB 6008. Apart from the device name (which can be changed), all code should function the same.

This is also very good to manually control and test things, like setting a DO, send a AO voltage and then read it back through a AI.
