Will look into that Dymo Label software. The SDK you mean?

I have SDK installed, old Dymo Label version 7.7 and new Dymo Connect v1.4.6

What I meant is upgrading your 7.7 version to 8.7.4 because I suspect for the SDK v8 to work the corresponding Dymo Label Software version needs to be installed.

  • Go to their software support page: https://www.dymo.com/support?cfid=dymo-compatibility-chart (choose to continue on the US website)
  • Search by software for DLS 8.7.4
  • Download & install
  • Run the DLS, if the label editor appears and you have a connected printer exit the program
  • Run your VI again (this was needed on our machines)

Found v8.5.4 of Dymo Label software in a netherlands dymo page, but it still gives me the same error.

Will try your suggestion now. Did not find the old versions on that Dymo page

I think my issue has to do with the SDK, when i run the 8.7 DLS it says it needs to add a printer and that crashes and never loads the printer. I can see the printer in DYMO Connect but not DLS. Will try on a different computer to see if it is just and issue with my system.

Which DYMO printer version are you using? We have found newer versions are not supported using Dymo Label Software only Dymo Connect (https://www.dymo.com/support?cfid=online-support-sdk).

Unfortunately I have been unable to create the right constructor nodes using any of the DLLs in the DYMO Connect SDK. This may have changed with newer versions of the SDK. It could also require a @RolfK level of expertise.

This LabelWriter 450 works. We also have some 5x0 versions, not sure if 500 or 550. The Turbo variants also work.

This is from ny notes:

Install v7.x av Dymo label Writer

Install SDK til Dymo

And then it worked!
