LabVIEW dll Containing .NET Constructor Nodes Launch Very Slowly

Hi,

We are using some .net constructors which will be compiled to .exe as well as .dll in our project. We have already used the solution (.config method) suggested from NI:

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/7DC537BCD6E679C3862577D9007B799E

to speed up our application (.exe) to start quickly. The workaround solution improved the start up time from 53 seconds to 5 seconds.

Our question is how could we do the same workaround solution for .dll files?

We tried the regedit workaround solution (for the .dll files) from NI, the start up time has only considerably decreased from 53 secs to 23 secs.

Kindly help us to improve the start up time for the .dll files.

Thank you

Regards

AP

What antivirus do you have running? I have seen packages that can slow down the loading of DLLs that don't recognize, or which they consider to be "suspicious".

I am not surprised. They have caused problems where I work, unfortunately there was no solution. Curiously some users never saw a problem, while others noticed that the problem went away if they weren't plugged into the network...

I'm thinking it was a configuration issue, but never got it nailed down exactly because a couple months ago it just stopped happening.
