Hmm, I cannot really give further advice, this becoming more like a hacking 😄
Is this a hobby project? You could try to sell these hardware elements on ebay, and buy a second hand flow controller which you just plug&play together with the PR4000 controller...

(you need to put also the official PR4000 driver under the instr.lib, or install via the drivers menu of LV)

Hey SVP1,
I wonder if you could help me figure out how to get the unit into REMOTE mode. I don't see "RT" anywhere in the manual meno on the unit itself. Do you have a vi that has the proper syntax to send this command? I'm running the exact same vi's as you with the proper parity, and not getting any communication. The remote light on the unit is dark.
Any help would be appreciated! thanks

Hi, try to enable remote mode by pressing by yourself the button on the controller panel. I do not set the controller in remote mode through LabView.

Hi, can someone clarify on how to turn the remote mode on on the unit itself? I do not see it anywhere in the manual. I'm using a single channel PR4000.

I use a 2 channel PR4000. I do not need to enable remote mode manually, I just connect the RS232 cable and use the LabVIEW functions from the library I attached above...
