Mismatch between the DAQ assistant Rate and the output waveform dt

Solved!
Go to solution

I am using an NI 9239 to acquire analogue input data. Using the DAQ Assistant I set acquisition mode N Samples, 8k samples to read and 8k acquisition rate. I wire the data output from the DAQ Assistant directly to a waveform indicator.

I expect the dt for the waveform to be 0.000125. I get 0.000120, which is an acquisition rate of 8333.333Hz!

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

You have to read the specifications of the 9239 to answer your question. Focus on page 18/19.

Additional hint:

You specify the MINIMUM sample rate for the acquisition in the DAQ Assistant.

hope this helps,

Norbert
