I currently cannot connect to a NI-9149 ethernet expansion chassis.
I am getting an error saying that the RIO server may not be running (see below).
As you can see the RIO server is installed on the NI-9149 and I can see no other relevant settings in MAX.
I can communicate with the device (MAX auto discovered it) and I have tried the MAX troubleshooting tool which gave me green ticks all the way through.
The only relevant info I can find online is this https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000YGx7CAG&l=en-GB#ProgrammingyourEthern... which doesn't give me any hints.
Does anyone have any ideas?

It appears that this was being caused by a conflict in RIO drivers between the expansion chassis and the development PC which has 2024 installed. I found that suggestion in this thread https://natinst.public.daq.real-time.general.narkive.com/U0eJLbCh/a-connection-could-not-be-establis...
If I try on a different machine with only 2023 installed it works
I suspect that it is one of these packages which are causing the problem
I have tried fixing this on my development machine by uninstalling them through NIPM but I don't seem to be able to uninstall NI-RIO, this is staying stuck at 2024. This results in my dev machine still not working.
I am just going to set up a VM with just 2023 for now.
