NI Package manager installation fails with error -125813

Recently one of the user laptop throws error -125813 while installing NI package manager as part of an deployable LabVIEW application. The same happens when installing NI package manager separately as well. I have ensured that there are no NI software in control panel before retry. The same works in another laptop.

Error message:

The 'NI Package Manager Installer Wrapper' installation has failed with return code -125813.

OS: Windows 11

Does anyone encountered the same and found the solution?

I think the error message associated with this error is:

• "The following packages must be removed before completing the current operation: {0}".

If you share the following files with the forum, someone might be able to gather more details as to the underlying cause:

• %localappdata%\National Instruments\NI Package Manager\Logs\errorlog.txt
• %localappdata%\National Instruments\NI Package Manager\Logs\NIPkgLogs\NIPkgLog_*.txt

Attached both error files. Some more background on the problem. While trying to resolve the problem user has installed both NI package manager 18.5 and the latest version. I was able to remove the latest version. But 18.5 version is not available in program list or app list. I could see that is being available inside program files.

I have temporarily resolved the problem by renaming NI package manager 18.5 version. Post that latest version of package manager worked and then resolved further problems by repair.
