NIMAX - Convert Virtual Channel to Physical Channel or Copy Calibration

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello forums,

Question:

Is there a way to convert Virtual channels to Physical ones?

or

Is there a way to copy calibration data to other channels?

Reason:

I hadn't noticed during an import that all of the channels created were virtual even though they were assigned to a physical channel on the real cDAQ. All of these virtual channels were calibrated (very time consuming and third party expensive). The LabVIEW executable will not function with these virtual channels. See attached images of the virtual and a newly created physical channel assigned to the same cDAQ channel. Both function in MAX, but not in the LV executable.

I know MAX config data is housed here, but it doesn't seem like there are any specific files for calibration that can be copy pasted.

C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\MAX\Data

I am using MAX 19.5 to configure my DAQmx channels.

Thanks,

Scott

I had an error in the MAX configuration which was not allowing the LabView executable to run. The posted issue about virtual versus physical channels is no longer a concern, so the post can be deleted or removed.

However, the question about copying channel calibrations to other/new channels still applies as we have had unrelated issues in the past where this would have been useful.

Thanks,

Scott
