Great, thanks for solving the issue!!!

But: I don't know how to add the .NETwrapper node on my block diagram... Adding InvokeNode from the .NET palette is labeled .NET only , and when linked to the OceanOptics reference, changes to OceanOptics.

Where to you get the .NETWrapper element from, which palette??

Make sure that correct OmniDriver is installed:

https://www.oceaninsight.com/support/software-downloads/omnidriver-and-spam/

.NETwrapper node can be copied/pasted from the VIs in the archive or created from scratch using .NET invoke node.

I found something might be solving this problem.

After closeDevice method, the shutDown method should be also called. Since then I do not suffer the crash anymore. It was very reproducible on my system, LV18 64bit, OceanDirect 2.4.0, SR4 spectrometer.
