Output pulse train on DIO

Hello all,

I am in the unfortunate situation where I have to generate a pulse train on a single, non-counter DIO channel.  The controller is a PXI RT controller.  Is there a way to generate a pulse train without using a counter and without flipping bits in software?

Hi Matt,

you either use a counter output - or you have to flip bits on your own!

Or you use some external hardware to generate a pulse train. There are simple schematics possible with a classic 555…

Yup...thought that was the case.  Don't have the two options mentioned.  Customer  wired  into the wrong pfi and I am stuck with what I gots.  Thanks Gerd.
