Real time data acquisition

Hello community;

I need your guidance, expertise and assistance on how to acquire  weather data eg. temperature, irradiation, wind speed etc. in REAL TIME or directly from the sensors and use LabVIEW to acquire the data. If possible you can recommend the type of wireless sensors and DAQ device.

Thank you.

How much are you willing to shell out?

For a non-commercial or non-industrial implementation, I would suggest a off the shelf wireless weather station with some kind of serial port or web page based access to the data.

The term "real-time" has a very special meaning and I don't think that's what you want.

It seems to me you just want to measure some sensors at a reasonable rate (how quickly can the temperature really change?), e.g. Once per second? Once per minute? And exact timing is not critical. Even the resolution is not really important for these kinds of signals, maybe 8-12 bits would be plenty.

What is the reason for the "wireless" requirement? Can you be more specific what you are trying to do?
