Synchronise laser modulation with camera

Hi all,

New here (and new in LabView).

So I have a NI PCI-6602 and I want to synchronize an EMCCD camera and a laser (OBIS LX-) using LabView.

I would like to be able to send trains of pulses of various duty cycles and lengths and to have the same output signal sent to modulate the laser and make the camera acquire images.

Could anybody help as to how I begin?

thanks

Hi andrewF00,

From the LabVIEW Help menu, select Find Examples... to launch the NI Example Finder.  Under the Hardware Input and Output » DAQmx » Counter Output folder, you will find a few examples that should help get you started with configuring a counter task for pulse train generation.

Do you need this generation to be dynamically configurable, or are you working with a set sequence?

hi,

thanks for the reply.

Yes would rather be dynamically configurable, so to have real-time control (or pre-setup) control of duty cycle, pulse freq etc

best

I am full of hope that - quite soon - you will stop pasting your questions that are related and handled in this thread all over the forum. Stick to this one thread and post further questions as long as they are related to your original issue.
