Not much has changed un the linear imaging world over the last 10 years, the isa card solution is the way to go (not serious)

About thirty years ago, I used a PDP-11/23 embedded in a CAMAC crate with BiRa digital out and analog in boards to do the same thing (six phase clock, clear array before use, etc.). I also learned that you cannot use CCD arrays for laser interferometry imaging, since the outer coating layer gives strong interference effects. I ended up using a much less sensitive, and more expensive, photodiode array. It was still easily good enough. Unfortunately, I did not have LabVIEW, so had to program the whole thing in C.
