howto edit a top level icon for an instrument driver

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi

using labview 2009 I started a new instrument driver. During the setup wizard for the driver I created a top level icon. I would like to reuse that icon for the VIs in the driver, but can't figure out how to edit that icon (or copy it to other VIs). At the moment the only place where I see it is in the instrumt library palette. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Arun

Open the VI, move your mouse over the icon, right click and select 'Edit Icon'.

I'm talking about the top level icon here... I can edit all the icons for the VIs in the instrument driver, but can't access the one for the top level. This is the one that I created while using the wizard for a new instrument driver. The only place where it seems to show up is in the palette.

If it's the same as 8.6, go to Tools>Edit Palette Set. When the palettes open, browse to the one you want and right click on it. You have a choice to copy the icon or to edit it.
