pump control

Hi everybody

I want to controll my Ismatec pump with Labview.

I have:

-NI 9263 modul

-NI-Compact DAQ Chassis

- Ismatec pump BVP-Z

Before I start to work with the LabVIEW i have to wire the pump with the modul

Now I should know which pins from the pump analog interface I've to wire with my NI 9263 modul. 🙂

(I've posted all Pins from the analag interface)

Thank you for the help

Hello ago

First you may note that there are other boards that are related to hardware, where you may find more readers.

Second, you mention you want to control the pump. Does that merely mean

- setting the speed

or also

- On/Off,

- reading out the actual speed,

- reading the pump status?

If you want to set the speed, it is straightforward.

Make a connection between pin 1 and pin 2 in the plug (a drop of solder tin) to activate remote control

Make a connection between pin 2 and pin 3 in the plug (another drop of solder tin) to activate pump start

Connect 2 wires, the first from pin 1of the pump socket to analog ground (terminal 1) of the USB device, the other from pin 5 of the pump socket to  AO0 (which is the first analogue output) at terminal 0 of the USB device.

My personal approach is to first take a lab power supply and apply some volts to the appropriate terminals instead of using the USB device directly. If it works then, you know your wiring is not at fault, when it does not work from the 9263

Good luck

Michael
