unable to download software

I've been trying to download software from ni.com, without any luck.  Every time I set up the download, I get the button, "Log in to download."  When I log in (or if I'm already logged in) it then briefly shows "Loading Options" in the foreground (sometimes briefly displaying a "Download" button) and then reverts to the "Log in to download" button again.

 

Pressing that button simply repeats the process.

I've tried different browsers (Chrome, Edge, Tor) logging out, logging in, clearing cookies, rebooting the computer.  Nothing helps, the problem is the same.

 

I've tried this with the following downloads, but it seems to happen with everything:

 

* LabVIEW FPGA Compilation Tool

* LabVIEW Instrument Design Libraries for Vector Signal Transceivers

 

Is this a problem with my account?  A back-end problem?   Or some other issue?

I tried to do this, exactly as you have shown.  The Good News is that it is presently downloading.  The bad news is that it reports itself as requiring 5 GB, and has another 10 minutes to go.

 

My conclusion is that you are having a problem with accessing the download site, possibly because there is a problem with your Account/License, something you'd need to clear up with NI.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing.

Last week it wasn't a problem.

Today I get the Log in to download button on repeat.

I have tried multiple browsers on multiple computers.

I have created a new account instead of using my company account.

I have even tried a different computer at home instead of from work.

 

Any way to get this fixed?

Hi, for some reason I can't download anything from the NI website. There's a button that says "Log in to download" but I am already logged in and clicking it just reloads the page. Here's a screenshot:

I have tried different browsers, I even tried doing it on my phone and it still doesn't work. I tried logging out and then clicking the button but the same happens after I log in again. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Just tried it now, and it's working fine for me.   The original solution, in my case (OP), was to contact <customerservice@ni.com>.  They pushed some magic buttons, and it all started working again.

 

That said, I'm not happy about NI's decision to block links to earlier versions of installers.   I have permanent licenses for some older products, which I cannot re-install because of this.   They are asking me to pay $500+ support in order to be able to re-install software that I already own (on the same device).  Here is what they wrote:

 

"As of August 2024, Emerson-NI changed the availability policy of the NI Software installers. NI honestly makes a fair assumption that customers are conscious of losing access to their installers and take the provision of storing them, when they decide against renewing the service, that includes the benefit of downloading previous versions of NI Software. Accessing the installers for any of the previous versions and the technical support is a benefit, provided only to customers with an active Software Subscription license and it is a standard industry practice."

 

Seems like a stupid decision to me.  So, I've put my project on hold (I have lots of other unrelated projects to work on).
