Windows 11 : blue screen after installing

Hi,

I maintain a labwindows/CVI application which manages data acquisition with the USB-6210 box.
This application works perfectly under Windows 10 but the deployment of this application on Windows 11 PCs is very erratic.
On some Windows 11 PCs when rebooting I have a blue screen while on other Windows 11 PCs I have no problem.

Any idea?

If the Win11 PCs uses ARM based CPUs, those are not supported and could lead to BSOD.

That is not the case. I have the problem on a Dell Latitude 5550 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor which is a x86 processor.

Hi,

I had the same issue on laptops with the same hardware. Thanks to the post below, I upgraded the PXI Platform Services Runtime to the latest one (from 2020 to 2024 Q4) which fixed the blue screen problem.

Does this solution work for you ?

Even if the blue screen error is fixes, I now have an error during the setup of my application :

The "NI VC2008 RTE x64" installation has failed with the following error : An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'policy.9.0.Microsoft.VC90.CRT,version="9.0.30729.5054",public KeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture"amd64",type="win32-policy". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESILT: 0x80070091.

The same message appear with 'NI VC2008RTE x86'.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

I updated my setup to use the latest versions of the runtimes like you. I went from runTime 2020 to versions 2024.
Now I also have an error message during installation. Despite this, my application seems to work but it is not comfortable.
