How to measure Dimension Object

how to measure and know the dimensions of an object using Labview 2014 and Vision Asisstant? The size of objects to be detected using a webcam? what pattern matching method can be used to know the size of the object to be detected?

Use Imaq GetImageSize (X and Y resolution) to find the Image Dimension

Can using Image Vision Assistant to detect Dimension object ? Calibration or Coordinate for Dimension? 

But how to solution get Shape Detection of object ? and I want to ask ,can 1 input for 2 process image vision ,if 1 process to shape detection and 1 more process again for detect dimension or color object ?
