Image Acquisition Error on VBAI 2018 Evaluation

Hello,

I was trying to test VBAI 2018 and faced with attached problems on image acquisition. Other functions are working well but I can not connect to a USB3.0 Vision camera, although the driver is correct and the camera is working with older versions.

"The specified image acquisition device could not be initialized properly. %s" Is there any restriction of IMAQdx usage on recent evaluation versions or does it related with something else? Because I have not faced with this error on previous versions.

Does this happen when starting from a new inspection? Can you include the sample inspection you are using that had this issue? Does the camera have the latest firmware? Sometimes, cameras may have fixes for attribute related issues and VBAI exercises all the camera attributes whereas MAX may only exercise the ones you change. 

You could also try migrating the inspection to LabVIEW to see where the error is coming from, but my guess would be the flattened string of all attributes fails to get set on the camera when initializing it.

Hello Brad,

I can not migrate it to labview but I can respond to other topics.

It is happening on a New inspection. I am Just adding an acquisition step, and getting this error when selecting the camera. Firmware is updated, and as told I am getting same problem on multiple brand/models.

Also the behavior is same on MAX. There are no tab except than description under camera, so I can not acquire in MAX, too.

If the problem happens in MAX, then it's not a VBAI specific issue. You may want to try installing the latest IMAQdx driver. It sounds like the driver is in a bad state.

Yes, I was thinking it should work without updating the IMAQdx but VBAI 2018 installation was effecting the IMAQdx probably.

I installed the VAS 18.5 and camera is working now.

      I am using VAS 2020 and facing an error while acquiring image from laptop integrated camera.
