Please contact the motor/stage manufacturer and you could submit a request at ni.com/idnet. NI has motion controller hardware and software available via ni.com/motion

Did you ever find a driver for the motor controller? I am using C-843, but I can not find the LabView support vi's discussed in PI documents only the PI Update Finder.

Thanks,

Sarah

I did. I made a new post because this one didn't provide very much useful info and it is eight years old. If you have anything to contribute I greatly appreciate it though!

Hi,

Could anyone let me know if I need to instal a driver for controlling PI (Physik Instrumente) DC motor model C-862 (through RS232) using Labview?

Also could anyone provide guidelines to write Labview code for the motion control?

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,

Raj.

Was looking for the same thing. I contacted them and they sent me files for the E 710 controller. I don't know if i'm allowed to share though ? Maybe ask them if you need. Or MP me
Some controllers such as the E662 do not have driver and are only controlled by RS232 cable and SCPI commands. PI propose Piterminal for this. I wonder if communicating with the Serial port in Labview can do the same...
