Clocked DIO

The M series of NI MIO DAQ devices include the so called “correlated digital IO” capability, which permits synchronizing digital IO with other operations, for example with triggered AIO. The E-Series does not have such a capability.

How can I do a clocked/triggered digital acquisition using for example the PCI-6034E or one PCI-6052E  DAQ card?

Thank you

Hi Grivilla!

Here I found a KB, where it is written how to synchornise digital output and analog input on e-series.

I hope that helps you so far!

Hi A.V.-

Please note that there is neither clocking nor triggering capabilities available for digital I/O operations with E Series.  So the example linked from the previous post does not guarantee or provide synchronized digital or analog operations beyond [possibly very] unreliable software timing.  As you mentioned, you must upgrade to an M Series board if you need the ability to correlate digital operations with other measurement types.

Hopefully this helps-

Thank you for your replay. I think, getting an M-series will be best thing to do. snif...
