External Clock

Sir,

I am using PCI 6220. I am giving an external 2KHz pulse to DAQ pin no 0.0 from another source. I am able to receive the signal. I am trying to get the digital output from DAQ pin no P0.1. When I view the signal using CRO I am not getting the 2KHz clock. Instead I am getting aperiodic signal from the same. CAn anyone help me why this occurs and I cannot understand why there is a mismatch between the two. I would like to build my application using this technique.

Could you provide details on the method you are using? Are you running one of the examples? If so, which one? You need to use correlated digital I/O and that requires providing the clock source.

I have attached my VI.Whether my VI is correct or wrong. Please provide me one example VI for this issue.

Try setting the mode to continuous and set the number of samples equal to the sample rate.

There is an example called Cont Read Dig Chan-Ext Clk that you can try as well.
