SCB-68

I'm running two speakers off of an SCB-68 board using labview signal express. My project also uses a video camera. I would like to install two LED lights to signal the camera, once the speakers start and stop playing. Is there any way to wire the LED lights into the SCB-68 board so that they flash on when the speakers turn on or off? I'd prefer it if the lights only flashed once, but if its only possible to have the LEDs turn on while the speaker is on and turn off while the speaker is off, that could work to.

Thanks,

Alan

P.S. I'm an undergraduate intern with 4 months of experience at my lab, so please use the simplest language possible.

The SCC-68 is just a dumb terminal block and you would have to be interfacing it to an actual DAQ card. So, if you are controlling the speakers with the DAQ card, then you should also be able to control the LEDs with the same card. It all depends on what card you are using, the software, etc. You have not provided any of this pretty vital information. If you have written some code, attach it so someone can look at it. I have not used Signal Express but I'm sure you can do it with LabVIEW.

Woops.

We're using the NI PCI 6251 card. We are using both analog outputs for each speaker and one analog input for our microphone. We're left with 4 digital outputs to wire the LED lights. We didn't write any code to run the speakers, we are using the default settings for Labview Signal Express.

Thanks.

There are steps/whatever that you have created in signal express, correct? You can't do anything without that, correct? They are saved in a file, correct? Attach that.
