I have a PC with Windows 7 64bit with Labview 8.5 and max version 4.3. The VI's and devices worked well. I just got an X series USB 6341 with which Daqmx 9.3.5 was supplied. I installed the upgrade daqmx and did get the new X series 6341 recognized and could also test it.
However in Labiew 8.5 I regognized that I cannot run my VI's. I decided to go back to the earlier max and thus not use the X series on this PC. I unistalled and installed everything, Max and also Labview, a couple of times but to no avail. The Max (4.3) does not see the usb 6211 when I connect it and before I had a PCI 6251 in the pci slot , it was seeing it as in a pxi system!
any help?

Hi mariof,
This link shows what versions of LabVIEW are officially compatible with the different operating systems. LabVIEW 8.5 is not officially compatible with Windows 7, although it should run.
Also this link shows the compatibility between the DAQmx drivers and the different versions of LabVIEW. To use LabVIEW 8.5 you should have at least DAQmx 8.6.1 although we recommend something more recent. DAQmx 9.3.5 is not compatible with LabVIEW 8.5 so that might be why your VIs do not work.
I hope that helps

Hi,
So is there a way to use a newly bought DAQ card (which was shipped with ni daqmx 9.3.5) with a DAQmx version compatible with Labview 8.5?

It will depend on which DAQ card you are using, but you can download earlier versions of DAQmx which are compatible with LabVIEW 8.5 here.
