Hello,
I am a Biology student doing my thesis, and I use Arbitrary Waveform Generator - NI ELVIS mx, to emit different sound frequencies. But I would also like to check the frequencies that I emit, with a hydrophone which is connected with myDAQ via Audio In, but the Oscillocope - NI ELVISmx doesn't give a value for frequency. It does give a faint line so the hydrophone is working, but I would like to get a frequency value. My supervisor doesn't know how to fix this problem and can't find the answer on Google. So, hoping the answer is very simple, does anybody know what I should do?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Daphnia, you can use the Dynamic Signal Analyzer soft front panel to obtain the peak frequency component of an audio signal.

Thanks, but that didn't give me a frequency value.
