Deployment won't load

I built a deployment and installed it. Later I overwrote the target directory with an older version of the code. Then I tried to run the deployment again from CD but it says no files will be written or removed. Why?

The deployment framework is based on Windows Installer technology, and it doesn't track individual files in that manner (you can try this with Microsoft Office for example, and you will get the same result). The simplest option is to go to the Windows Add/Remove programs, uninstall your product, then re-run the deployment from your CD. It should now install just your one MSI...
