Hola,

He montado un chasis nuevo PXIe-1088, pero la tarjeta PXI-4065 no se configura correctamente y da error al instalarla.

Ya he reseteado la configuración y he actualizado los drivers.

¿Cómo podría solucionarlo?

Saludos.

This is a pretty low-level error, which typically indicates a hardware issue of some sort.

  1. Has this PXI-4065 ever worked before? Can you try it in a different system?
  2. What software is installed on the system? Including both NI and Windows.
  3. What message do you get from Self Test? Reset Device?
  4. What result do you get from running a basic example?
  5. If this were an official escalation, I would suggest uploading a MAX Technical Report, but that can contain sensitive information. Instead, I will ask if you could describe your system setup (or trim the generated HTML file of personal details and attach that to your reply.

Suggested next steps:

  1. Update Windows
  2. Install latest BIOS and other firmware components.

Hi Tobias,

1. Has this PXI-4065 ever worked before? Can you try it in a different system?

No, it's a new team. I cannot test the card on another computer since they are old chassis (PXI-1036)

2. What software is installed on the system? Including both NI and Windows.

NI SW View report

Windows 10 Pro x64

3. What message do you get from Self Test? Reset Device?

The self test failed.
Status Code: -233900

Internal Hardware Error occurred in DMM hardware. Please contact National Instruments Support.

Reset Device, the same.

4. What result do you get from running a basic example?

Thank you for your response and I hope I can solve it.

Thank you for the additional information (and the switch to English - my Español is not strong).

At this point, I would recommend the following:

  1. Upgrade all NI software to the latest versions
  2. Upgrade your BIOS, Windows, and all other drivers on the system you can
  3. Confirm whether other instruments in the system are behaving properly.
  4. Try a different slot in the chassis
  5. Reset the Hardware Configuration
  6. Attempt the steps in the MXI-Express Compatibility and Connectivity Troubleshooting Guide

If none of these solve the issue, you are going to need to open a support request with NI for further assistance.

I've tried it and it still doesn't work.

I have replaced the PXIe 4065 with a similar one from another PXI 4070 chassis and it works correctly.

But I have tried to run an application in Labview 2017 and I get an error with the PXI-8513

Is the hardware configuration correct or is there some incompatibility in the installed hardware?

In this capture the PXI-4070 is mounted but the one I want to work is the PXIe-4065

If you are seeing issues with multiple modules, this is looking like a hardware configuration and/or compatibility issue at this point.

Suggested next steps:

  1. Did you try all the steps in the MXI-Express Troubleshooting guide?
  2. Have you upgraded all NI software, system BIOS, etc.?
  3. Disable Kernel DMA Protection?
  4. IOMMU Passthrough?
  5. What is your computer model?
  6. What device is the PXIe-8360 connected to in the PC?
  7. Can you try a different slot for the MXI-Express card in your computer?

It already works, the solution was to change the MXI-Express card slot in my computer.
All the cards in the chassis now work correctly.

Thank you very much for the help.

Glad to hear that it was a simple fix!

In hindsight I should have recommended this earlier; it has been a number of years since a slot swap has solved this type of problem for me.

Would you be willing to share the PC model for the next person searching for this problem?

The mainboard is Gigabyte B460M Aorus Pro.

The card did not work well in PCI Express x1 slot, when I changed it to the PCI Express x16 slot, it already worked.

Thanks for the help again.
