Sorry for the late reply - had to deal with Hurricane Sandy.

I didn't get the attachment. Can you please repost?

Eric,

Ok, I think I see what the problem was - we were reading in 255 bits! That's why it was taking so long to update!

I've attached new code - I think my problem is solves and I'm on my way - just have to deal with Sparkfun now about the magnitude of the magnetic field.

Before I close off on this issue, can I get your thoughts?

   Thanks!

Hi TheLT,

Looking at your newer code compared to your previous versions, I am not sure what has changed, other than doing a write inside of the while loop rather than out.  However, if this is working for you in a timely fashion, then it should be ok to stick with.

Eric,

Sorry, you're right - I was getting confused with another version of the code. So yes essentially we just moved a write inside the while loop and that sped things up a lot.

If you want me to PM you the Applications Engineer that was helping out in addition to you, please let me know and I will do that.

   Thanks!

Hi TheLT,

Unless that service request is open still, then it's not really necessary.

Thanks,

There was a user by the name of "1Luc" who wanted a 2011 version of this code.

If this person can post back, I will post it!

Thanks!
