Using a 2023 Vision Builder inspection in 2020 software

Hello all,

I have an inspection that was created using NI Vision Builder 2020. Meanwhile I worked on that inspection using a 2023 Vision Builder version. After that, I cant run/open the file in another computer that has the 2020 version. Is there a way to save the file in order for it to work on the 2020 software again?

On the 2023 you can save "File / Save For Previous Version"  You can go back to 8.0, however some features might be broken.  They are pretty easy to find and correct.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately that option does not show in my program..

After searching a bit more I found that, according to NI, these vbai files cannot be saved to previous versions 😫 frustrating

Ah.. I misunderstood.  LabVIEW can save to previous programs, but not Vision Builder..  I currently run LabVIEW 2021 SP1.  If your vision builder is that era or older, you can send the file and I can convert it for you.

I have frozen my version of LabVIEW, as I want to actually own my software, and not rent it.  So far none of my customers have complained.
