Error -88302 occurred at niscope_DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi??

Hi,

I have a scope card "NI PXI 5122" and have some problems. There is no activity on the
Access Led of the scope card, but
Windows detects the scope card. I removed the Card and reinstalled its driver,
repaired the National Instrument Sw, but nothing has changed. At MAX, during the self test of the NI5122, there
is an error message that says

“Error -88302 occurred at niscope_DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi
In possible Reason: An Internal Error Occured."
I restored the system from a disk image, system and card started to function, but after half a day, same thing happened.
Is there any idea?
My system consists of NI PXI 8196,
NI PXI 6508, NI PXI 8420 and NI PXI 5122 and the date of the the drivers "May 2006".

Regards
Serhat

Greetings Serhat,

Please try the following procedure to resolve this problem:

1) Exit Measurement & Automation Explorer (if open) and close all National Instruments programs.
2) Delete the "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\Data" directory  (or cut it from this location and paste it to your desktop)
If you are unable to delete all the files in MAX directory. End process nimxs.exe from Task Manager, then delete the "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\Data" folder.
The key to fix this error is to completely delete all the files in the "Data" directory.
3) Restart the computer.

Let me know if this fixes the error...

Regards,

Nicholas B, National Instruments

Hi Nicholas,

The problem was solved by adding operator user account to the Administrator group.
(Computer Management / Locals User and Groups / Groups / Administrator)
I think there was an initialization problem that it could not write somewhere...
If the same error happens again, I will try and post in here...

Thanks

Hi C007,

This article should help with part of the issue that you are seeing. It should not have anything to do with the evaluation version of LabVIEW. If you continue to get errors, it would be helpful if you could describe what you are trying to do when you see this error. In addition, it would be helpful if you started a new thread for this issue since it is probably different than the prior issue.
