Hi,
I have exactly the same problem running the same hardware. I have two system on the same local net. A cDAQ9189 (IP: XXX.YYY.ZZZ.190) and a cRIO9057 (IP: XXX.YYY.ZZZ.185), on a local LANhaving IP: XXX.YYY.ZZZ.4, subnet mask: 255.255.0.0 and other gateway and DNS empty. Static IP config is fine, the prompt let me ping it properly both systems.
I had to install NI-daqmx 24.5 version drivers to align them with RT module of cRIO. Could it be the problem?
Fact is that I have a LabVIEW 21.0 version licensed available, ad this is the only thing I cannot upgrade.
The System setting reports:
hence it is connected and running, and an Update of the Firmware is available, though for cDAQ9189 the latest supported version is the one already installed (20.0.0f0), but in the DAQmx version folder, that is the one opened by default in case I press "Update Firmware" there's a 24.5 version. I'm scared about causing the lost of funcitonality of chassis by Upgrading.
-----------------------------------
At the same time I have also an issue to make the voltage anquisition card NI-9239 to work and I really don't have an idea why its't not. Self-Test ok but it presents a Device identifier problem, even if the name is obviously right given that I'm trying Test Panel.
I'm getting lost...could anyone try to give me some hints ?

Hey there,

Hi,
meanwhile I found another thread on the forum reporting the same issues by using NI-DAQmx 2024 Q3 version, solved installing the Q4 one. And actually that solved the first problem with cRIO; I'm now able to use cards on the cRIO9057.
The problem holds still for cDAQ9189, but at this point I don't know whether it comes from the too recent NI-DAQmx version which has to be solved by the upgrading of the firmaware, or other issues.
Do you think it's fine to have (if working) LabVIEW 2021 and all the other components on 2024 releases ? According to the compatibility table here below it seems that 2021 version of Labview work fine with all the daqmx versions form 2021 to newer ones.
Do I miss something ?

If you can’t save the settings to the cDAQ, it has to do with your network configuration and not the driver. The 2024 DAQmx driver is compatible with your LabVIEW stack.
You need to confirm if your network is using DHCP or static IP’s. If it is using DHCP, set the cDAQ accordingly in the network settings. If it is static, you also need to set your gateway and DNS properly.
You can also connect the cDAQ directly to your computer. If you need to connect the cDAQ to your cRIO, the cDAQ-9185/9189 User Manual goes over that on page 1-13. Look on page 1-9 for network configuration.
