Autoscale Y-axis of XY Plot for selected X range

Status: Declined

The autoscale Y of the XY Graph behaves differently the autoscale Y of  Waveform Graph.  For example, with the Waveform Graph the autoscale Y axis button will autoscale based on the X range displayed.  But with the XY Graph the autoscale Y axis button will autoscale based on the entire X data, and not the X axis range that is displayed.  So if there is a spike in the XY data (e.g. the first or last point) and the user selects an X range in the middle of the plot and then clicks the autoscale Y button, nothing will appear to happen.  The desired behavior of the autoscale Y should be to always autoscale the Y axis.

Incidentally, if one uses the zoom feature to display a portion of a plot and then selects the plot to perform a copy & paste into a Word document, the entire XY graph is pasted into the document and not the zoom region as displayed on the screen.  The workaround is unlock the x and y axis which will prevent the XY Graph doing an autoscale when the paste is performed.
