This is an idea to improve the idea exchange forum. Allow the creators of ideas to "merge" them into one so that the discussions and kudos are not duplicated. If the ideas where created by different users, one of them would have to make a "merge idea" request and the other would have to approve. A new more general one could also be created to include the 2 initial ones. The unique kudos would be added and all the comments could be sorted out by initial threads kind of like quotes or links could be added to view the original discussions but adding kudos would be prevented on the original ides. There are probably other implementations that would be more easily implemented considering the underlying architecture of the forum, but the goal will be the same. I believe that it as to stay creator approved and not be "moderated" in some kind of way or approved by NI employees. Only the creators of ideas know if another idea is similar enough to be merged with.
Example : Those 2 ideas could be merged into a more general one called "Insert or replace class, library or project VIs in contextual menu"
