I'd find it really helpfull, if there would be a possibility to create a new "value change" case in a event structure by right-clicking the control-terminal in the block diagram. If there is no event structure in that VI, the menu entry ("Create event") should be greyed out or be removed.

From my understanding of your idea, you are wanting a right-click menu to add an event case based on that object (control in this case). Would you like to be able to point to which event structure you would want to add the event to? What about a list of events that could be added based on that object so it's not just Value Change?

@altenbach: that's a very special case. IMHO in the most cases there is only one or no event structure in a single VI. But the idea you linked in your comment goes into the same direction as mine: I just want to avoid searching for control names in VIs with lots of controls ;o)

@G-Money: I wanted to keep it simple. If this idea is implemented, we can bother NI with a new one and ask for more events in the right-click-menu ;o)

I regularly have two event stuctures in a VI: one to process any-time actions, such as a hotkey to enable debugging mode, and one to process user-input actions (such as starting a test, querying a DB, etc). This 2nd event structure enables and disables items for events before and efter execution, so that events are not queued up while a test is running.
