Edit group properties in the text data plugin assistant

Currently the data type of group properties is automatically set, when two colums are used, one for "Name" and one for "Value". (see picture, right side)

I recommend to enable the possibility to manually set the data type for every individual entry, regardless which column is chosen for Name and/or Value.

That's a great idea!  Of course, at some point you end up programming the ASCII DataPlugin from scratch yourself.  Let me know if you ever need help with that, that's one of my favorite tasks.

Hi Bern,

please note, in the use case as described by you, the data type is determined auromatically and you see (in the wizard) the data type which would be chosen for this particular file.

For example, considering two files:
one has a line:          propname    0.01
the other has a line:  propname    blabla

The data type of property "propname" in the first file will be read as eR64, while in the second file the data type will be eString.
