If you use the DAC script driver and within this the UDI interface, you can use any COM device. Only in the old “Serial interface (COM) …” which is a small tool to send or monitor COM you have COM 1 up to COM 9.This is supported since DIAdem 2015.

Please, is it possible to increase the number of serial - COM ports in DIAdem 2018?
Please, is it possible to increase the Baudrate of the COM ports in DIAdem 2018?
It seems that the DIAdem documentation is a little bit outdated at that point. DIAdem already supports all serial ports that are supported by the OS. So if your computer lists e.g. a serial port "COM27", you can use it in your scripts with UDI object. The same applies to the supported baud rates. There may be some limitations by the hardware.
The limitations mentioned in the documentation apply only to the interactive test tool.
